Here’s what DCG students are up to…

Mar 12, 2026 | Dental Insights

We recently spent time with students at the Dental College of Georgia (DCG ) Vendor Fair and had the opportunity to speak with dozens of future dentists about what’s top of mind as they prepare to enter the profession.

One trend stood out right away: nearly half of students we spoke with said their biggest concern after graduation is managing student loan debt while navigating their first associate contract.

While clinical training prepares students to treat patients, many told us they feel less prepared for the financial side of dentistry; from evaluating compensation structures to understanding disability coverage and loan repayment strategies.

These conversations reinforce why we stay closely connected to dental schools and students across the country. It allows us to better understand the challenges new dentists face and bring those insights directly into the guidance we provide our clients.

Over the past 20+ years working with dentists, we’ve seen how early financial decisions can shape long-term career flexibility and success.

If your study club, residency program, or organization would like us to present on topics like starting your career, assembling your dental advisory team or financial planning for new dentists, we’re always happy to help.

Schedule a complimentary consultation with us to organize your financial future.
