Yes, you can file an extension, but your taxes are to be paid by today. Be sure to thank your CPA for all the work that they do! (note: we say CPA instead of accountants. You can work with a non-CPA accountant, but we recommend you work with one that is a CPA or has one on staff)

We sometimes get called CPA’s. We are NOT CPA’s! We partner with many top CPA’s and, and we are very appreciative of the hard work they do throughout the year, but especially this time of year. We do give planning insight into valuable tax strategies, but we always recommend you run by your CPA’s.

By the way, my son, Will, is an accountant. He has passed all his CPA exam sections. Yay! He now needs to submit his paperwork to officially use the CPA designation. And no, Will doesn’t do taxes. 😊
