US large cap stocks (S&P 500) led a great 1st quarter for stocks returning +10.6%. S&P 500 was tops among all asset classes. (see graphic above) There is a great hesitation that with increasing returns, the bottom will fall out of stocks soon. This is demonstrated by the record amounts people are holding in cash.
Don’t believe the hype. As mentioned by two of the largest money managers in the world, Capital Group and J.P. Morgan, company profits are continuing, as is consumer spending. More people age 18-64 are back to work, and immigration is helping stem the tide of blue-collar job openings. All pointing to a strong economy and continued room for stock markets to improve.
