The NEW 2025 Retirement Plan Contribution Limits! KEY Updates Inside

The IRS has just released the NEW 2025 retirement contribution limits. We’ve outlined some of what’s new for 2025 and what these changes could mean for your retirement outlook. Here’s a quick look at the new 2025 numbers:

  • The 2025 pre-tax and Roth 401k limits have gone from $23,000 in 2024 to $23,500.
  • If you are 50 to 59 or age 64+ in 2025, your additional catch-up contribution is up to $7,500
  • New for 2025 if you are age 60 to 63 in 2025 you have a super catch-up contribution of up to $11,250!
  • The IRA did NOT increase the IRA contribution limits stayed the same at $7,000 with a catch-up for age 50 + at $1,000.
