Student Loans Are Changing

Aug 13, 2026 | Dental Insights

If you’re working on paying off your loans or currently in school, recent changes to federal student loans are worth understanding.

Beginning July 1, 2026, changes to federal student loan programs affect how some graduate and professional students may finance their education. With the cost of dental school already being a large financial commitment, it is important to understand the resources available to you.

At E2E Financial, our role goes beyond managing investments. We help dentists look at their entire financial picture and make informed decisions throughout every stage of their career.

While we are not student loan specialists, we want to make sure our dentists have access to resources that can help them better understand these changes:

E2E Student Loan Resources

ADA Student Loan Resource Guide
The ADA has created a resource specifically for dental students and their families that provides information on recent federal student loan changes, borrowing limits, financing options and other considerations when paying for dental school.

Student Loan Planner
From student debt and budgeting to financial planning resources, this is a helpful page to bookmark throughout dental school. Check him out on Instagram too!

Explore TISLA’s Student Loan Resources
Student loan rules and repayment options can be difficult to navigate. The Institute of Student Loan Advisors (TISLA) is a nonprofit organization that provides free, neutral resources to help borrowers better understand topics including repayment plans, loan forgiveness, consolidation, and more.

**For questions about how the changes apply to your individual situation, your dental school’s financial aid office can also be an important resource.**

Making informed decisions early on can help you prepare for the future. We work with dentists as they navigate cash flow, associate contracts, employer benefits, saving and investing, and eventually, opportunities like practice ownership.

As your career grows, so should your financial plan. We provide ongoing planning, investment management, retirement strategies, insurance guidance and access to resources and professionals who can help with needs outside of our expertise.

For over 20 years, E2E Financial has worked with dentists across the country. Already have a financial plan or advisor? Our team can provide a side-by-side review of your current portfolio and financial plan to help you understand how it aligns with your goals.
