I got to thinking about this weekend’s Super Bowl. The predictions were that it was going to be a high-scoring affair due to the new emphasis on, and success of, offense. The Los Angeles Rams had the new offense focused approach with the young, offensive-minded head coach and a young quarterback to execute it. The Wall Street Journal even had an article titled: “Why the Super Bowl May Be Even Higher Scoring Than You Think”
The final score was 13-3. The lowest score, by a winning team, in Super Bowl history. What won? Tried and true focus on adjusting to the game situations, defense and an established team with a veteran head coach and quarterback. Established processes, systems and quality portfolios are what works in successful, long term investing too. Time for a second opinion? Reach out.
