If your practice has a 401k retirement plan, reminder of some key 2022 deadlines:

August 1– deadline for filing Form 5500 (without an extension)

September 15– Extended deadline for filing S Corporation tax returns

September 30– Deadline for distributing Summary Annual Report (SAR) to 401k participants. (if Form 5500 was not extended)

October 17– Extended deadline for Form 5500

November 30– Deadline for adopting Safe Harbor 3% for existing plans for the 2022 plan year

December 1– Deadline for sending 2022 annual 401k safe harbor notice.
