Become a turkey chef hero…Happy Thanksgiving from E2E!

As we approach Thanksgiving, everyone here at E2E wanted to take a moment to wish you and your loved ones a joyful and delicious holiday!

This year, inflation continues to be a key economic topic, so I decided to explore the cost of frozen turkeys over the years.

2024 turkey prices are down 32% to $0.94 per pound from $1.40 per pound as per the USDA. Ranging from $1.07 p/lb for conventional turkeys to $3.99 p/lb for an organic turkey from Whole Foods.

Cooking the turkey is one of my favorite Thanksgiving activities, and I’ve got a recipe for you to try. It’s a classic from Alton Brown of Food Network fame (a UGA grad and Marietta, GA resident, by the way!). The secret? Brining the turkey the day before. Properly brined, your turkey will NOT dry out! Click here to check out the recipe and gather your ingredients to become the hero this holiday!

Wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving!

As always, your weekly market update is here.
