Marguerite “Maggie” Kenyon joined the E2E Financial team in February 2023 and serves as the firm’s client care advocate. She brings an interesting and diverse skill set to her position, including working as an educator and compliance manager.
Maggie grew up in California and earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Diego State University, where she graduated summa cum laude. Having graduated from college within three years, she went on to obtain her postgraduate teaching credential and taught elementary and middle school students science. A fun fact about Maggie: she has worked as an educator at Sea World in San Diego for two summers and is one of few people who can say they’ve entered the shark pool and walked amidst the sharks (bamboo sharks).
After COVID-19 impacted her teaching, she worked as a compliance manager at her father’s gun shop, AO Sword Firearms, in El Cajon, Calif., where she developed expertise working in a highly regulated industry and interacting with government data and reporting systems. She credits her psychology and teaching experience in preparing her to be a good manager, but helping people is simply part of her nature as a people person.
Maggie and her family, including two younger brothers, moved to Chattanooga, Tenn., in 2022. Maggie learned of the opportunity at E2E Financial through her “next-door” neighbor – Theresa Bell, the firm’s marketing director. Maggie serves E2E clients remotely from her family’s 40-acre property called Freedom Ranch and said even though her home is in a rural setting, the gigabit internet service is much faster than anything she had in Southern California.
As a customer care advocate, Maggie helps answer day-to-day questions, opens accounts, schedules meetings, helps with technical support for Zoom calls, and advises clients on what forms they need to fill out. She also supports Andrés Romero as an executive assistant. She has dived into the study of the financial industry and looks forward to gaining more industry knowledge and contacts by attending future dental conferences.
“I really like helping people and providing solutions,” she said. “Money is so personal. I’m not just dealing with numbers or abstract laws, but real people and their future.”
When she’s not working, Maggie enjoys creating digital art to express herself – including working with still photography and drawing. She loves illustrating portraits, flowers, birds, and her most recent challenge – a jaguar. She also prioritizes spending time with her family, attending church, and participating in small groups. Integrating into her community quickly after moving, she has even served as a high school mentor, sharing life experiences and her motto of “Do your best from where you’re at.”
